Priorities

Have you ever sat back and looked at what you were supposed to do and realized that none of it is done?

"But some of that was important!", you say.

We as Christians need to decide what is eternally important. We need to make sure that we do those things immediately, NOW.

We are not promised tomorrow. We do NOT know when the Lord is returning.

One of our girls said to me the other day, "Mom, wouldn't it be cool if Jesus would come to visit us?" "Sure", I said.

Looking back at that conversation, I should have said, "If Jesus came back today, would you be ready to go with him to Heaven?"

I am going to ask that question today for homeschool.

God is Good!

Sorry for the hiatus! Our oldest just had surgery to remove a tumor/cyst today.

Everything went swimmingly and she is on the road to a speedy recovery.

Even in the crappy stuff, God is still GOOD!!

Old things made NEW . . .

I just got a treadle sewing machine.

I'm so excited I can't stand it.

Because the Singer Company keeps good records, I know it was made in 1910 in New Jersey and/or Canada or with Canadian made parts. It came with all the original attachments but no manual. I found the manual on line for free.

Can't wait to see how my first piece turns out! But I have to practice treadling first. You have to be consistent like the spinning wheel or you will go backwards!

Being sick stinks . . .

especially during the holidays. I was sick for Christmas and am sick again this week. Two of the girls have managed to skip it but Dad and youngest have been hit too.

I can't wait till next week when I am better.

Bittersweet Update 2

Mark has been notified. He was unable to attend his mom's funeral but at least he knew what had transpired.

God is good. Whether we feel like it or not.
